Welcome
to Chris O'Donnell
Online! The site's been up and running for over 5
years now. We've been your top source on the web for all
things related to the actor Chris O'Donnell. Chris is best
known for his role as Robin in two Batman films, as
well as playing
opposite Al Pacino in the Academy Award winning film Scent of
a Woman.
Chris was recently seen as the amiable scruffy vet on Grey's
Anatomy.
He can be seen in this year's Kit Kittredge
and Max Payne!

Project Updates, including NCIS: Los Angeles!
Not only do we have a new cast member for NCIS: Los Angeles, Academy Award winner Linda Hunt playing the boss for the tech support staff, but we also have a premiere date: September 22nd on CBS, check your local listings!
You may remember a while back I mentioned that Cats and Dogs 2:Revenge of Kitty Galore was pushed back to next year in terms of release date. Still not sure why, but we do know they're taking advantage of the extension to do some reshoots and new filming. Chris and crew were spotted in San Pedro, CA shooting some scenes for the movie. They also had some new casting calls, so they may be re-doing some scenes entirely. (The movie has also been filming in the Las Vegas area, apparently.) Chris's part is really just an opener and a closer, and he has a different hair do than when he originally filmed. So, I'd go with re-dos versus just re-shooting for extra takes. His character Shane is supposed to be a rather "cool" cop (remember, this is a kid's film) who's a budding family man. Maybe they liked his Callen do for the role, too. Your guess is as good as mine. (Unless you know something I don't, then your guess is better!)
Also, Chris's older brother John continues to get great press for his hit line of golf clothes Johnnie-O. You can read a fantastic interview (as well as see some great pics of John and a quote from Chris) at North Shore Magazine's home page.
Finally, I wanted to do this Sunday, but this week has brought some unexpected events (what week doesn't, though, I suppose). Anyway, just wanted to wish a very Happy Belated Father's Day to Chris and all the other good dads out there!

More NCIS Media Updates and News!
So, some quick catching up to do, mainly with gallery updates I haven't
posted about yet. In the image gallery, you can find
screencaps of Chris's second episode ofNCIShere. For those who
haven't heard the news, CBS has picked up the NCIS spinoff,
which will be titled NCIS: Los Angeles. It will air in
the United States Tuesday nights at 9 PM/ET, following the original
NCIS. The show should premiere some time in September.
Chris appeared with his costar LL Cool J at the CBS 2009
Upronts, which you can view images of here. (Over 80,
including 50+ HQs!) You can also see the two (and others)
talking about the new show at various events, including the Upfronts as
well as on CBS's Early Show, in the video gallery. (Remember,
registration required!)
I've got lots more images to add, but many are just HQ versions of
already-uploaded MQ images, so they'll have to wait. (Plus, it'll be
easier to manage the update if I do them later.) In terms of
Chris news, as I already mentioned, his new show was picked up for
series. He additionally wrapped his small role in the indie
film A Little Help. Filming was set for wrap on June
11th, but no idea if it stayed on schedule. Though, the star
of the film, Jenna Fischer, did confirm that the entire film was
wrapped. Since it's a small film, no idea when/if it'll make
theatres and how big the release will be, but I'll keep an ear and eye
out for more info.
NCIS: Los Angeles will more than likely begin filming in July.
Chris and LL have been spotted together, though I doubt
they're filming. My guess is that they are more than likely shooting
promo images for the show. You can see some candids at this blog.
And that does it for today's update. Thanks as always for your
patience! I'll get those other images uploaded next chance I get. So
keep stopping by!

NCIS Media Updates!
A couple of quick things. I've added screencaps from last week's NCIS episode to the gallery. Sorry I didn't get them up until the weekend. It's a busy time right now. They're also not the best. I was trying something new, and well, won't be trying it again. Still, to fix them or redo them, that would have taken even longer and I wanted anyone who needed to see them or wanted to to be able to.
Additionally, clips of Chris in "Legend, 6x22" may be found in the video vault. Just a reminder, you have to register to view videos. Also, I hope the video vault's working out for everyone. I haven't really gotten much feedback on it, so if you get a moment, let me know how/if it's working for you.
Also, any comments on Chris's appearance on NCIS? Liked it? Loved it? Saw it? Feel free to share!
Don't forget to watch the next episode tomorrow (or tonight, depending on when you read this!). For US viewers, you can watch the full episode online at CBS's website.
Another quick note about Chris's movie Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Its release date has been pushed back from October this year to July of 2010. No word on why, nor have any promotional materials been released. For those wondering about Chris's role, just a reminder, he plays Shane. I haven't seen the whole script, but from the parts I've been able to get, Shane is kind of an opener and a closer. He's in the very beginning and then he's in the very end. It might amount to 15-20 minutes total of screen time if I've got all of his scenes.

NCIS, Gallery Updates, and More!
Things have been rather crazy, and work on the site has, unfortunately,
suffered. To be able to cover all the updates, I
may have to do a couple different, well, updates. I've gotten
a lot of affiliates requests recently, so if I haven't gotten back to
you, I'm working on it! Also, if I already agreed to affiliate, I'm
working on that, as well! I promise! Thanks in advance to everyone for
their patience. Incidentally, if you have any questions about this (or
anything else I may have overlooked), don't hesitate to e-mail
me!
Gallery Updates:
First things first: everyone's favorite section of the site. (It is
totally yours, and you know it!) I have images from Chris at Pebble
Beach 2009, incidentally he and his pro partner made it to
the final round thanks to a great score. Unfortunately, due
to inclement weather, the final round was nixed. Still, a
belated congrats to Chris, who seemed genuinely excited about finally
placing. Additional images are of Chris and Caroline at Elton
John's 2009 Oscar Viewing Party for his AIDS benefit charity,
Chris attending as a presenter the 30th
Annual College Emmy's, and candids of Chris and costar L.L.
Cool J filming
the second episode of NCIS
in which they guest star (WARNING: Spoiler Alert in images).
Speaking of NCIS,
you can check out HQ
promotional stills from the two-parter episode "Legend" as
well as some screencaps
I did of the trailer for the first episode. (Video from Team NCIS, so special thanks to
them.) Finally, I've added a photoshoot
session from a couple years ago. (Most are small and tagged,
but still nice to look at!)
NCIS:
I know I've owed you guys a script review for 2 1/2 months, and I'm
sorry I couldn't type one up. Still, for some quick facts on
Chris's two-part guest spot, check out the forum,
as always. I think some of the confusion on the spin-off name
has been cleared up, but in case it hasn't, I'll address them now.
First off, the potential NCIS spinoff is not called "Legend,"
that's just the episode name. (One blogger screwed up and then the
incorrect info went everywhere. Trust me, I've seen the title of the
episode on the actual script. It's just for the episode.) The
spin-off is still untitled. Also, for those expecting to see
something more akin to a cross-over or a pilot for a new show, you'll
be mistaken. I can only vouch for the first part, but it's
still very much centered around the main cast. The case the
two teams are joined together to work ends up being connected to the
main cast in a very big way. For the Chris fans, in case
you're still under the impression he leads the team -- the Office of
Special Projects in the NCIS, that info's incorrect, as well.
The actress Louise Lombard plays a character named Clara who
is the real leader. Chris's character Callen is a go-to
undercover guy. (Incidentally, both have important histories
with Mark Harmon's character Gibbs.) Callens got some
character traits that might be familiar to watchers of cop shows and
cop movies: his love life is pretty much nonexistent (he even scares a
Russian woman who lives near him off by making her think he's in the
Russian mob, just so she doesn't try to approach him) and he's not the
most punctual nor serious employee, definitely a smart aleck.
I'm just spitting some things out here right now, but feel
free to e-mail
me with any specific questions.
A Little Help:
I couldn't really confirm Chris's attachment last post, but I can now.
Chris is officially attached for the role of Bob.
(I think some source mistakenly said he'd play a different
role, but he's not.) The role of Bob is, unfortunately, only a brief
one, possibly spanning about 15-20 minutes. I've only read
the script, so it could change when filming. The Bob
character is the husband of Laura, Jenna Fischer's character, who dies
unexpectedly. For those who remember Chris in Head Cases, Bob is
a very Jason Payne role. And, while it's small, it's still
quite a good one. The role of the former frame in whom Laura
finds comfort while mourning Bob is yet to be cast. He's more
of a slacker, who's perpetually high, and admits that he only married
Laura's sister because he thought it would be like marrying her.
Also in the mix, is the son of Laura and Bob, also yet to be
cast. The film is set late 2001, and the son begins telling
people that his dad was a fireman who died in one of the Twin Towers
during September 11th. The movie's obviously an independent
with some quirk and character. While its filming dates and
locations have constantly been in flux, it looks like it should finally
get started soon. Long Island, New York appears to be where
they've got their eyes on for filming.
That actually covers quite a bit, thankfully. I've still got
the affiliates thing to work on, and I will. If I forgot
anything, I'll get it next time.

New Projects for Chris Plus Gallery Update!
I've got a couple new Chris projects to tell you about. First, it's been reported that Chris (along with rapper L.L. Cool J.) are in final talks to star in a possible NCIS spinoff. The spinoff would have a backdoor pilot, meaning that the new team will be in a regular NCIS episode. A pick-up decision will most likely be made after the CBS execs assess how well they think it would work. You can read more about the proposed spin-off, including character descriptions, in the forum. I also have a friend who is limitless in the awesome department. She was able to send me a copy of the episode's script. I've read it and will post details (as thorough as I can without crossing some lines) as soon as possible -- most likely in the forum.
Chris is also attached to join The Office's Jenna Fischer in an indie dramedy about a widow who reconnects with an old flame, who just happens to be married to her sister. The movie is called A Little Help and is set to start filming soon in Georgia, and possibly Kentucky, before the Spring. As always, check out the forum for more info.
Finally, I've added almost 40 pictures of Chris at the 50th Annual Bob Hope Chrysler Classic to the gallery. Be sure to check them out when you get a chance.
So, any thoughts on either of Chris's new projects? Feel free to sound off in the comments or in the forum!

New Vids and Pics!
Sorry for the long delay without updates. The past semester got the better of me, and the holidays have had me busy with family obligations. I did manage to do some Video and Gallery updates, though. Be sure to check out the Video Vault for videos of Chris on Jimmy Kimmel Live promoting Max Payne, at the Chick-fil-a Alumni Bowl playing for Boston College, and making a special appearance to help out veterans on UFC's Fight for the Troops. Screencaps for all can also be found in the gallery. Be sure to check out the gallery for tons of pics of Chris at the Max Payne Premiere and also for some recent candids of him out with Caroline and going to Casa Escobar.
In Chris news, Chris will be doing his usual round of charity golf tournaments this season: the Bob Hope Classic is set for the week of January 21-25, and Pebble Beach is scheduled again for February. Chris was also announced as a lead in the upcoming sequel to the kiddie film Cats and Dogs entitled Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.
Speaking of movies, you can find Chris's recent movies Kit Kittredge and Max Payne out on DVD now!

New Vids & Affiliates!
Thanks to those who commented about the new layout! They were lovely. I've added some new videos to the vault. By the way, glad to see everyone's making their way to the video gallery and registering!
Hi all! Sorry I've been away for so long. I promise I'll catch up with the news and pictures as soon as possible. As you can see
Chris O'Donnell Online now has a new layout! I hope you all like it. Still weeding through and figuring out what needs to be tweaked. In addition
to the new layout, the site has a new section: Videos! Instead of hosting my videos elsewhere, I've created a video gallery that contains small flash videos. This is easier for me to manager and easier for you guys to find what you're looking for.
The gallery is up and working, still have some more videos to add, but there are plenty up already. The catch: Registration is required. I know it's messy, but it's a necessary evil for various reasons. So, enough of my blabbing, go check it out: Video Vault
